The first Xtreme Championship Series (XCS I) was held at the original facility of the DXFFL, Shelby Soccer City on Sunday, March 5th.

The Bronze Division was a ton of fun as most games were determined by the final play of the game.

All of the top from the Bronze Division were present to participate in the first of many exciting XCS events.

All teams were eager to show what they can do and prove to the rest of the league why they should be the team to contend with. Here is a recap of some of the tournament action.

Round 1 Action:

Hawk Industrial (Shelby - AFC) 30 Defeated Hawkeyes (Shelby - NFC) 18 in tight battle to prove the worth of the Hawk name.

5th Avenue (Taylor) 32 Defeated Taco Boyz (Shelby - NFC) 18 in an early exciting game

Grimace (Taylor) 14 Defeated Detroit Hustle (Shelby - AFC) 6 in a defensive battle.

Chiefs (Shelby - AFC) 45 Defeated N.S.R.C. (Shelby - NFC) 18 in a lopsided victory.

Quarter Final Action:

PASI (Taylor) 16 Defeated Hawk Ind. (Shelby - AFC) 14 in a match up of two very capable teams.

Eastside Boys (Shelby - AFC) 50 Defeated 5th Avenue (Taylor) 13 in an impressive display.

Grimace (Taylor) 48 Defeated Out on Bond (Shelby - NFC) 18 in an equally impressive show of raw ability.

Malarkey's (Taylor) 30 Defeated Chiefs(Shelby - AFC) 7 in what was supposed to be a close battle.

Semi Final Action:

Eastside Boyz (Shelby - AFC) 36 Defeated PASI (Taylor) 31 in one of the best games of the weekend.

Grimace (Taylor) 29 Defeated Malarkey's (Taylor) 25 in a last minute, come from behind, heart stopping play.

Finals Action

Eastside Boyz (Shelby - AFC)) 41 Defeated Grimace (Taylor) 0 in a not so exciting but truly fullfilling finale to end a truly awesome day of action.
